RMG RPM-STD
In a cavity between the inner housing of the meter and its revolving impellers, the positive displacement occurs. As a result of pressure drop over the inlet and outlet of the meter created by gas consumption downstream the counter-rotating “Figure-8” drives switch. As the left impeller rotates to the vertical position, the gas enters into the cavity between the impeller and the housing. As the left impeller reaches the vertical position, a restricted volume of gas is trapped on the left cavity. While the impeller begins to spin, the volume of gas is registered. The rotational impellers separate the moving gas into small finite quantities. Simultaneously, the gasses penetrate the openings between the right impeller and the housing. The right impeller is longitudinal after further rotation, and a finite amount of gas is trapped in the right cavity. The Garlock® BLUE-GARD® Type 3000 and Grade 5 bolts are Xylan® coated to improve tolerance to corrosion and minimize friction. Gasket stressors are an important way to defend measurement and downstream instruments from welding slaughter and other waste from the gas system. By using the following diagram, choosing the appropriate meter at any given point by using the Optimum Instant Flow Rate (scfh) and the Minimum Operating Pressure (psig). Example: A flow rate of 25,000 scfh and an operating pressure range of 75–100 psig would require a 5.5M meter based on a 75 psig minimum inlet pressure.
