The RPM Gas Rotary Meter works in a positive displacement technology that tests volumetrics by eliminating finite gas increments. In a cavity between the inner housing of the meter and its revolving impellers, the positive displacement occurs. As the pressure drops across the meter produced by the downstream gas consumption, the contra-rotating “Figure8” impellers rotate. The spinning impellers divide into small, final volumes the runoff gas stream and are counted on a mechanical or electro-indice.The index register is magnetically connected to a body of the RPM meter. In addition to the oil-free nature of the Index Register, this function offers precise long-term and continuous measurements without maintenance.
