The Model 224C Differential Pressure Unit (DPU) is a mechanical device that controls a gas or liquid moving through a process system or the amount of liquid deposited in a process tank. The DPU is connected to a primary device (e.g., venturi, orifice monitor, or stream pipe) in the factory-stream assessment method system. The DPU can be linked in a multitude of respects for liquid concentration readings to evaluate the range of stress induced by fluid density differences in the ship unit.
The Model 224C DPU is available in distinct stress results to assess specific ranges between 0-30 inches of water column and 0-1000 psi, with 500 to 10,000 psi (224C Non-C limited to 500 to 3,000 psi SWP) of safe job stress (SWP). Table 1-1, paragraph 4. The Bellows Unit Assembly 224CC (BUA) is produced in three dimensions: 1-5/8 inch, 5/8 inch and 3/4 inch. BUA can manage differential stress up to 55 psi in diameter 1-5/8 inch. This BUA’s range springs are inside the bellows and do not contact the liquid measured. The 3/4-inch BUA is capable of handling up to 400 psi and up to 1,000 psi of 5/8-inch BUA. These BUAs ‘ zone pipes are grouped around the bellows.

Model 224C DPU in charge housings is a dual bellows instrument. The dual bellows setup includes two reverse fluid-filled bellows, center block, coil springs, overrange valves, and assembly of torque tubes. The pressure housings are connected by pipe or tube to the primary device in the system. With the lowest stress in a linear route, differential strain variations within energy housings cause the bellows to expand or split to the surface. The linear motion of the bellows is converted into angular rotation when transmitted to the torque tube engine by the spin wheel, and this mechanical movement activates the surveillance scheme.

An instrument, key, receiver, camera, or other process control unit may be the process monitoring instrument connected with torque tube assembly.
